Large Telescopes >6" to 12"

11" diffraction limited Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope

You can't get enough of big scopes due to its light-gathering capabilities but what about storage? Well, the saxon 8" DeepSky CT Dobsonian Telescope may just be the answer!

This Dobsonian telescope will bring you to the galaxies and back, thanks to its 203mm parabolic mirror and focal length of 1200mm. This scope's collapsible truss tube design makes it easy to assemble and disassemble to transport in between uses.

NOTE: to protect your scope optics from dust in storage we recommend the Pegasus 6-8" Dust cover for the bottom primary cell of your scope as well as the top secondary cell. (Product Number 126685)

For solar observing we recommend the following Glass Solar Filters for this scope.

Astrozap Glass Solar Filter 232 - 238 mm (Product No. 124449).

You expect nothing less than crystal-clear images in your scope, but what are you going to do with the mount and tripod you already have? Mount it with the saxon 200DS Astrophotography Newtonian Telescope, that's what!

Combined with the aperture of 200mm and focal length of 1000mm, this scope is great for prime-focus photography. Higher quality images can be achieved with the optional coma corrector.

• Built-in WiFi: No Hand controller required! Just use your smartphone or tablet which connects to the telescope via WiFi.
• StarSense Auto Align: Automatically aligns your telescope and works with the SkyPortal app for complete wireless control.
• Fastar/HyperStar compatible: Image deep sky objects in seconds at f/2, often eliminating the need to autoguide or track on a wedge.
• NexStar Evolution Mount: Packed with convenient features, including manual release clutches and precision machined worm gears for both axes, tray lighting, USB charge port, tray lighting for your accessories, and more.
• Fully motorized computer go-to: After automatically aligning with StarSense, select and go to objects with a tap on your smartphone.

• The world’s most beloved telescope! The classic, 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain revolutionized amateur astronomy in the 1970s. Now, the iconic “orange tube” design is updated with all the latest features to provide the best stargazing experience for beginners and experienced observers alike.
• Large, 8-inch aperture with excellent light-gathering ability provides spectacular views of the Moon and planets, along with deep sky objects like the Whirlpool Galaxy and Hercules Globular Cluster.
• Fully automated, GoTo mount with database of 40,000 celestial objects automatically locates and tracks objects for you.
• SkyAlign technology gets your telescope aligned and ready to observe in minutes. Even if you’re unfamiliar with the night sky, you can easily align your telescope on any three bright objects.
• Unique single fork arm design and sturdy steel tripod all break down into separate components for easy transport and quick assembly.
