Large Telescopes >6" to 12"
A great choice for a telescope. We normally recommend people choose truss-tube or collapsible versions where possible for portability. This is what most serious astronomers end up choosing as their main telescope as it enables them to see most of the interesting deep sky objects such as star clusters, galaxies and nebulae, detail and colour in the planets such as the Cassini Division in Saturns’ rings, Saturns’ moons, colour and detail in Jupiter’s cloud bands and its moons, polar ice caps on Mars, as well as the occasional comet. They also make great astrophotography setups as most mounts will support a scope of this size well.
