The 6” Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube offers 40% more light gathering ability than a 5” telescope. The Schmidt-Cassegrain design also eliminates chromatic aberration, making it a good choice for entry-level astroimaging.


NOTE: The recommended solar filters for this scope for solar observing are;


- the Orion 185 mm (7.17") Glass Solar Filter (Product No. 125081) or


- the Meade Glass White Light Solar Filter 172 - 180 mm (Product No. 125918).
