The aluminum optical tube is fitted with tube vents which features an integrated 95-micron mesh filter that allows hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror. Mirror support knobs hold the mirror in place and reduce image shift during imaging

For customers wishing to fit solar filters, the outside OTA diameter is 272 mm.

These are safe full aperture (sometimes referred as clear aperture) solar filters. This means that it allows the most light possible into the telescope because it allows the full aperture of your telescope to be viewed. The full aperture allows the best possible daytime viewing when there is minimal atmospheric turbulence.
