Safely attach telescope optical tubes and accessories with Farpoint Vixen Dovetail Plate – Armored Strip – Celestron 9.25 Inch SCT (pre 2008).

Machined of sturdy aluminum with a black anodized finish, this  17″ Vixen style dovetail bar is just like the regular version of our Vixen dovetail bar, but with the addition of a stainless steel armored strip. Many Vixen size saddles and/or accessories use a set screw to clamp the accessory in place on the dovetail bar. This mars the dovetail and pits the edge, which eventually leads to slop in the system as the set screw wanders in the various old grooves that have been cut into the dovetail. The Farpoint Armored Strip version of the dovetail bar eliminates this problem.

The armored strip is not necessary if you use only Farpoint style saddles with a clamping bar (instead of a set screw).  Includes radius blocks and mounting screws.

Compatible with older model (pre-2008) Celestron 9.25″ OTA.
