This short-tube refractor telescope has wide field views, thanks to its achromatic objective lens of 80mm and focal length of 400mm.

Combined with the aperture of 254mm and focal length of 1200mm, this scope is great for prime-focus photography. Higher quality images can be achieved with the optional coma corrector.

The 6” Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube offers 40% more light gathering ability than a 5” telescope. The Schmidt-Cassegrain design also eliminates chromatic aberration, making it a good choice for entry-level astroimaging.

- the Orion 185 mm (7.17") Glass Solar Filter (Product No. 125081) or

- the Meade Glass White Light Solar Filter 172 - 180 mm (Product No. 125918).
