SteadyPix™ Universal Camera Mount
Couples Camera to Any telescope for Through-the- Eyepiece Photos of the Moon and Planets!
This nifty device holds virtually any digital or film camera up to the eyepiece of any telescope to capture images of the Moon, planets, bright deep-sky objects, or terrestrial subjects. An improvement over existing designs, SteadyPix locks the camera lens in position at just the right distance and orientation relative to the eyepiece to achieve precise focus and centering of the image for afocal photography.
SteadyPix attaches directly to any standard 1.25" telescope eyepiece with one of two felt-lined eyepiece clamps provided (for standard or large-size 1.25" eyepieces). The camera threads on to a 1/4"-20 pedestal via the threaded hole in the camera body.
Eyepieces with long eye relief are recommended to minimize vignetting of images. Our Epic or Lanthanum series (standard, not Superwides) eyepieces are ideal. Fits 1.25" eyepieces only.

Prime Focus Camera AdaptersAllow Attachment of 35mm Camera to Your TelescopePrime focus camera adapters couple of a camera body (with its model-specific T-ring) to a telescope for prime focus photography.
Model #5116 is designed for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCTs). Also called a T-adapter, it threads onto the rear cell of the SCT in place of the visual back. The camera body attaches to the external threads on the adapter via the internal threads on the T-ring).
Model #5269 is compatible with refractor and reflector telescopes that have a 2" focuser. The adapter slips into the focuser and is secured like an eyepiece. The adapter's external threads permit mounting of the T-ring for your camera.

A T-ring converts a camera's lens mount to a standard "T-thread," allowing you to couple a camera body to a camera adapter or, in some cases, directly to the focuser of a telescope. All camera adapters, including Celestron and Meade T-adapters and universal camera adapters, will fit this T-thread.
Have a new digital SLR camera? We've got the T-rings you'll need. The #5224 T-ring fits the Canon 300D Digital Rebel, also the 10D, 20D, 20Da, 30D, 350D, and 5D digital SLRs. For Nikon owners, the #5205 T-ring is compatible with the Nikon D50, D70, D70s, and D200. Call for advice if your camera is not listed.
