Orion SkyView Pro120mm EQ Refractor

Excellent Choice For Planetary Viewing and Imaging
Its 120mm of clear aperture and 1000mm focal length give the "SVP" 120 refractor the magnifying ability to split 2-arcsecond double stars and reveal subtle lunar and planetary features. With less chromatic aberration than short-focal-length acrhomatic refractors, the SVP 120 provides pleasing star images with a minimum of color fringing. And it's the perfect scope for digital imaging. Pop on an Orion StarShoot Solar System imaging camera and you're all set to capture spectacularly detailed shots of Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and lunar landscapes galore!

Now it is even easier to explore objects beyond the solar system, because the SVP 120 is available with the IntelliScope Upgrade Kit. It transforms your scope into a fully computerized object-finding whiz, capable of pinpointing more than 14,000 celestial objects with pushbutton ease. This nonmotorized system is compatible with optional TrueTrack electronic drives, so objects can be tracked after they are located.

SkyView™ Pro 100mm ED EQ Apochromatic Refractor

Its Premium "ED" Optics Deliver Clean, Fringe-Free Images
Recently Astronomy magazine ran a "buyer's guide" to portable 4" apochromatic refractors. All were impressive scopes, no doubt. But considering their price tags, which ranged from $US2,695 to $US3,595 without a mount, you'd be excused if you didn't run right out and throw down your credit card for one.

Here's something more practical: our 100mm ED apochromatic refractor. Priced under $3,000 complete with mount, tripod, and accessories, it's by far the best value there is in high-end refractors. The ED100 delivers images remarkably free of chromatic aberration, thanks to its fully multi-coated 100mm objective doublet, one element of which is crafted from FPL-53 extra-low dispersion "ED" optical glass from Japan. The 100mm aperture gives this scope 56% greater light grasp than our ED80, and the 900mm focal length is ideal for planetary and lunar study and imaging work.

Sirius™ 80 ED EQ-G GoTo Apochromatic Refractor

Orion's Best Refractor for Astrophotography on a Mount That's Up to the Task
The ED80's short 600mm focal length and superb optics make it a great telescope for both visual astronomy and astrophotography. And now Orion has coupled it with a state-of-the-art GoTo equatorial mount that will enhance either pursuit.

One lens element of the doublet is crafted from extra-low dispersion, or "ED" optical glass. This high-grade glass greatly reduces the chromatic aberration that causes color fringing around bright objects and loss of sharpness in standard achromats. The 2" Crayford-style focuser accepts both 2" and 1.25" accessories.

With the Sirius GoTo mount you'll experience effortless computerized navigation to 13,400+ celestial objects with a few button pushes on the illuminated hand controller. The tripod features extendable 1.5"-diameter stainless steel legs and a cast-metal spreader plate/accessory tray for unflinching stability. With an assembled weight of less than 50 lbs., the Sirius 80ED EQ-G is also nicely portable.

Sirius™ 100ED EQ-G GoTo Apochromatic Refractor

Find Objects Automatically and Enjoy High-Contrast Images
This is a telescope for the astronomy purist who wants the pristine, high-contrast images that only a premium apochromatic refractor can deliver and the object-finding precision and convenience that only a well-made GoTo mount can offer.

The ED100 delivers images remarkably free of chromatic aberration, thanks to the FPL-53 extra-low dispersion "ED" optical glass in one of the two objective lens elements. That, combined with the 900mm focal length (f/9.0), ensures that bright stars, planets, and the lunar limb won't be marred by color fringing as with standard achromats. What's more, the 100mm aperture has 56% greater light grasp than our ED80, letting you push the magnification to resolve finer details.

The Sirius EQ-G mount has the stability needed to enjoy steady images at high powers. And with its precision GoTo pointing to 13,400+ celestial objects, you will never run out of fascinating targets to view!

Sirius™ 120ED EQ-G Apochromatic Refractors

Deluxe Large-Aperture Refractors at Great Prices!
This premium scope combines superb optical performance, stability, and precise object location at a remarkably low price. Compared to big refractors costing thousands more, the Sirius 120ED EQ-G is worth a look if you are serious about observing or photography.

The 900 mm focal length (f/7.5) is great for planetary and deep-sky work. Premium ED glass in one of the two objective lens elements and multi-coating on all air-to-glass surfaces means light isn't marred by chromatic aberration, or color fringing.

The Sirius mount has a CCD autoguider port, periodic error correction (PEC), backlash compensation for GoTo slewing, latitude and azimuth adjustments for polar alignment, and an illuminated polar axis scope. Requires a 12-volt DC power source.

Sirius 120ED EQ-G GoTo Refractor includes GoTo hand controller with 13,400+ object database.

Sirius 120ED EQ-G Refractor (non-GoTo) includes dual-axis electronic hand controller.
